The situation

The building will house the Landesregierung of Tirol, and will
thus represents Tirol and the Tirolean’s.
For the central atrium of this building I wanted to work with
this idea of representation and was looking for a connection
between Tirolism and my work.
So I walked the city, looked at the people, visited museums,
shops, bars and restaurants to get a feeling of the place.
Then I focussed on a few things:
- Location of the building in connection to the city
- The city streets with it’s people and architecture
- Surrounding landscape, which is so present in Innsbruck
